“Towards the Republic” 1919-1923 Road to Freedom and Independence

“Towards the Republic” 1919-1923 Road to Freedom and Independence exhibition originally took place between October 31st and December 30th 2006 at the İşbank Yenicami branch building in Istanbul, which will be reopening its doors to the public as a museum, on the 83rd anniversary day of the establishment of İşbank.

This exhibition, which received a great deal of attention and appraise from schools and children will now be open to visitors at the Konak Art Gallery of İşbank in İzmir, between April 25th and June 2nd, 2007.

All related documents, objects, films and photographs starting from the combat movement in Anatolia to the institution of the Republic will be on display at the exhibition.

The exhibition, which contains a specially designed area for such activities like video games and puzzles for children, can be visited every day except Mondays free of charge.
