NEJAT ÇELİK
Retired Military Officer Nejat Çelik was born in Samsun in 1930.
Being a member of an artistic family, Çelik has chosen Anatolia and nature as his subject in his art works for 30 years. Emotions and feelings have precedence on his paintings in which he cares for colour harmonies in addition to meaning. Having gained the appreciation and support of painter Eşref Üren, the artist also tries to contribute to his community and to the military foundations with his solo exhibitions displaying his landscape, composition and still life paintings.
The profit of Nejat Çelik’s 40 piece exhibition at İzmir İş Sanat Art Gallery will be donated to “Martyr Families Help and Support Foundation”.
