After having been greeted warmly by the İş Sanat audience with the “Music of İstanbul” concert series for three seasons, this year Şevval Sam and İncilâ Bertuğ are again at İş Sanat with a different and significant project. Aiming to reminisce the long forgotten cultural and aesthetic knowledge of Istanbul and its music again, the project embraces the changing world, changing social-cultural environments and music from the past that is almost forgotten today. Now they exist only to be remembered, but in fact they provided a basis for the music of our present day. Tango, canto, folk song, sirto, tatavla tunes, Istanbul rebet, Neapolitan songs are all from Istanbul’s past.. These melodies will come together with the voice of Şevval Sam while the ambience that created them will be set up by İncilâ Bertuğ through remembrances and stories. A brand new project at İş Sanat that is not to be missed…
